Mile 109 - Somewhere in the middle of the Gila Forest
Was happy to grab 5 liters of water from this algae infested concrete cistern. I decided to venture north on a new and incomplete section of CDT and I didn't have information about water — other than some old USGS maps that often point out dry springs and abandoned mines. I thought heck, sounds like an adventure. I'm here to hike, not to road walk.
Hoofin it. Just the way I like it.
The new section was totally worth it — amazing sunset views. It did, however, just end in the middle of no where deep in Gila National Forest.
